Re: the potentially infinite number of worlds- my current hypothesis is that they are filtered by a kind of tree-like hierarchy, being narrowed and specific at the ends but broad at the root. But of course in order for this to work, the filters themselves are also worlds in the tree, downstream of even more filters, recursively. Here's a brain teaser for you: if the filter fails somehow, do the worlds it filtered cease to exist?
Re: your idea about the afterlife - I think we could actually get *proof*, one way or the other, but the person doing the experiment would need to be dead (and have studied all our research) for it to work.
Anyway I hope to talk more about this later; I'm in a bit of a hurry.
