Wow, I only saw this today. Even the glimses of his notes would've made this wiki so much more complete. Also, I really think Dan is really cool. I heard Tom talk about him, but these two are so amazing!
Also, I never knew the full story of what happened with Tom's son. I just saw bits of tweets etc. Damn.
Feel free to add anything and everything you can. I never really followed any guidelines when I was adding stuff for AV1. I just wanted to document all the enemies, so I made layouts that suited my needs.
I just got called to an out-of-town job, so I will not even be able to finish playing AV2 until I return in a couple of weeks. I still have all the extracted data and can easily answer any questions about the technical stuff. I'll be checking here and the reddit forum regularly, and will relay any important findings.

To save time by avoiding the need to transcribe the games messages and notes into this wiki by hand, I've extracted all the english text in csv format.

This probably has all the secrets listed in some way or another. I avoided looking through them.
The dialog xml lists which character is speaking for each dialog identifier.
I've extracted all the text in .CSV format - It can be put in a table listed with each dialog's internal name.
Eg:
DLG_BREATHEUNDERWATER_0,"Not to alarm you, but your new body is too dense to float."
DLG_BREATHEUNDERWATER_1,"However, you no longer need to breathe, which should help."
I can do this in only a few minutes, but only after I complete the game.
I saw some of that somewhere else too, I just checked the AV2 Primordial code font file, and it's the same as AV 1's, Because the font has some identical symbols, the first letter of the second line could be C, K, Q or X.

I missed some important dialog after a boss fight, and decided to see if I could extract the data and read it. Turns out ildasm can extract the file OuterBeyond.EmbeddedContent.Content.zip just like it did with the original Axiom Verge. I'm not going to do anything with it until I beat the game so I don't spoil it for myself, but I figured I oughta let you guys know that the data's not encrypted. I will probably be adding content to this wiki as I did before...
I definitely noticed a lot of aquatic references throughout the game. Tom has mentioned before that he had planned to make a large ocean-like area. I think I remember him saying it was going to be located on the upper-left of the map, but it was too open and/or didn't really have a point, so it was cut from the final game.
I wonder if the end of the game was going to happen under water?
Yeah, the guy who first figured out how to decompile the game, extract it's data zipfile, load it's maps into an editor and modify the levels asked Tom about it.

I would like to build a tree of non-sequence-breaking prerequisites to solidify and fix all the prereq. and unlock lists. I'll be playing through the game the third time myself to verify what is compiled and what is not on this wiki. I'm thinking of asking for help with this request to the speedgamers (Are there other forums that would care?) to make it official which are necessary without using sequence breaking using rebirth chambers.
The first problem I see is how to tag notes, and make their requirement included without interupting the conciseness of the pages since everyone here expected and used spoilers. I want to bluetext them behind the real requirements. I will use Itallics unless there's another option.
Next, I'd like to make the pages streamlined for speedrunners. Which required items can be gotten earlier and how. That's the biggest influx I'm seeing in forum posts lately. It has never been answered. I'm going to compile my list based on this wiki as I've now gone through the entire XML collection of ingame code official requirements (they must be from an earlier build, there are many errors I posed verbatum, and corrected but I'm sure some still remain). I have never tried sequence breaking, and I do not intend to do it yet as a I want to verify the early unlocks with the AD1 and LD. I still doubt I doccumented all the prereq's and unlocks.
As I've found out, both the programmer's notes in the XML files and the wiki are both wrong on multiple points.
I will begin doccumenting the already doccumented data here, filling in with possibly false info from the XMLs when none is present, and I'd really appreciate some help to disprove any and all falsities. Anyone have a good idea of which forum to ask for help and verification.
Hot damn! I think I'm gonna use TheDraw from dos's ascii art scene to do some awesome compiling stuff using the code tag. This wiki's formatting has been givng me a headache.
I think I can talk my friend into executing the sequence break stuff without cheat codes - he's much better than I am at surviving.

The way I first read the part "a dozen generations ago..." I took it to mean that was when they arrived, however I realize now that that was when the Breach Attractor was activated and "rung in the storm" and it was at that point that they were forced to hide underground.

I read through it again, and tend to agree now. Still grey, but the mention of them arriving still makes me think they were not an Sudran creation.
Certainly, this does make for a compelling sequel and possibly a prequel. The more I think about it the more excited I get for the next installment.
I have to admit, once I actually complete the game, I may lose a lot of enthusiasm for adding to this wiki. Once I get through the boss stats and the ambiguity of the trophy's I will probably start another game and only fix errors that someone finds with the data I posted here...
So my niece and I are playing Super Meat Boy, mostly just to watch the final replays. Then I'm watching all those drones being spawned in Kur and the idea hits me. The coolest thing would be a super-hard optional boss battle that depends on you having found and activated hidden repair drones throughout the regular game. You can summon them at any time in the game, and if they die, you can go back to where that one was and re-hatch it. So the thing is normally they don't really hurt bosses much but you need nearly all of them to actually do enough damage to this boss. If you have all of them hatched ready to summon for this one battle, each one can distract the boss slightly, enough for you to get a hit in, but it's still really hard. Having activated them all, the battle looks like one of those Super Meat Boy replays with swarms of them crawling over the boss and getting popped and crushed so you can kill it.
The only place the Remote Drone should not work once Trace has obtained it is the short section of the game in Ukkin-Na between Trace's first hallucination and Trace meeting Ophelia after the Vision boss fight. Trace should not be able to leave Ukkin-Na during this part due to him not having the Trenchcoat.
That may be a bug.

Have you used any of the Parametric Passcodes that play back ingame dialog?
Have you tried reconfiguring the game's controls to rule that out?

You are not stuck, she is just mentioning that it is/was there - she says that same thing no matter what. You do not even need to get it to complete the game, tho without it you wouldn't be able to read many of the notes, or access certain secret areas.

I've been thinking it would be nice to have all the cutscenes and boss battles patched together into a single video as well (we could then embed the video into each relevant page having them start at the proper time code). It's on my todo list, tho it would only be after I've completed the majority of the wiki pages.
I was right. In the intro cutscene, the image of the laser that caused the accident has the filename Shot1ZMachine.
